Herman K. Christensen Obituary (1928 - 2007)

“Gone Fishing” Herman passed away on Labor Day, Sept. 3, 2007, in Oroville, California. He was born October 21, 1928 in Los Angeles, California to Herman C. Christensen and Ruth Reedhead. He married Elaine I. Eastwood in Salt Lake City. He served in the Korean War. His career was spent working in tunnels—his last at B.A.R.T. in San Francisco. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, fur trapper, and world’s best story teller. His greatest endeavor was the crawdad farm that turned into a family affair. He is survived by his wife, Elaine; brother, Gary (Nancy) Christensen; daughter, Terri Woodmansee; son, Kirk (Casey) Christensen; son, Lee Christensen; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and known to many as “Uncle Kay”. A graveside memorial will be held Monday, September 10th at 1:00 p.m. at the Utah Veteran’s Memorial Park, 17111 So. Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale.
