Jane B. McBride Obituary (1919 - 2011)

Our loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother Jane B. McBride passed away August 10, 2011. She was born November 1, 1919 in Logan, Utah to Moses Dunkley and Lucy Biggs Watterson. Married Harold J. McBride July 23, 1938; later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served numerous callings in her Ward. She also served a local Stake and Genealogical Mission. She worked and retired after many years of employment with Union Pacific Railroad. She enjoyed sewing, scrap booking, and gardening—her grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to her. She loved them very much. Jane is survived by four children, Mark (Linda), LuJane (Gerald) Gillett, John (Jill), and Pamela (Brent) Rhees; sister, Velma Olsen; sister-in-laws, Nita Watterson and Jean Watterson; 16 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband; three brothers; and one sister. The family expresses a sincere thank you to Summitt Hospice for their loving care. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, where a viewing for friends and family will be from 12-2 p.m. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
