Jay Howard Evans Obituary (1938 - 2012)

Jay Howard Evans, 73, born on July 12, 1938 was reunited with his Heavenly Father on Feb. 29, 2012. He joined the Air Force at age 17 and later joined the National Guard. Jay married Shirley Ann Martin on April 18, 1960. He is survived by his children: Jay, Edward (Cindy), Jerry, Randy (Bobbie), Charles (Mary), Tina; sister Faye Massey; sister Nancy Hirschi; 19 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Preceded in death by his parents and brother Don. Funeral services will be held on March 9, 2012 at the Foothills Wards, 5246 West Gossamer Way, Riverton, Utah at 2:00 p.m. A viewing will be held on March 8, 2012 at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary at 1007 West South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, Utah from 6-8 p.m. and from 1-2 p.m. at the ward house prior to the funeral services.
