Jeffery Warren Johnston Obituary (1975 - 2016)

Jeff Johnston passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on the morning of Sunday, May 8, 2016 at his home. Born to Robert Johnston and Sally Jackson (deceased) on April 3, 1975. He was raised by his father and step-mother, Beth. Jeff met Brooke Ann Patterson on July 3, 2002 on his first day of work at Rocky Mountain Water. They were married on May 15, 2008 and later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on August 25, 2012. She was his angel and pumpkin. They were perfect for each other--truly soul mates and eternal companions. Jeff attended Wasatch Academy, Alta High and graduated from Brighton High in 1993. Jeff was an animal lover. He couldn't walk by one without giving it love. He could tame even the wildest one. Jeff was a CDL driver. He worked for Dennis at Drivers Solutions and then later at Earl M. Jorgenson. He loved being in his truck. He loved all the animals at the different shops he delivered to. He was a hard worker and appreciated the opportunity to work. Jeff had been assisting in the daily care of his terminally ill mother-in-law for 8 ½ months. He was so gentle with her. He would tease her that he was going to tickle her feet at night as he lovely tucked her into bed. Just hours before he passed he had assisted in putting her to bed that night. He gave service to his very end. Survived by wife, Brooke Johnston; father, Robert Johnston; step-mother, Beth Johnston; grandmother, Dorothy Harris; many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends; and his dogs, Rusty and Duchess. A viewing will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016, from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary located at 4760 S. State Street, followed by a graveside service at 12 Noon for family and close friends at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 1342 East 500 South.
