Jessie June Saathoff Obituary (1928 - 2006)

“Grandma Jessie” “Nana” Our Beloved mother, grandmother and friend Jessie June Saathoff passed away on the morning of October 10, 2006 of natural causes. She was born June 17, 1928 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Edward Eugene Kenzy and Agnes Mae Auld. She married Bobby Lee Saathoff on September 17, 1951. She was blessed with two wonderful children. Edward Courtland Ferguson of Gering, Nebraska and Sheree Sue Turner of South Jordan, Utah. June was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in which she served happily in many different capacities. June gave 17 years of valuable service to the city of Gering, retiring in 1990 as city office manger. June was known by all for her infectious smile and her unconditional love towards all she met. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to make her acquaintance. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, four brothers, and two sisters. She is survived by her son, Edward, daughter Sheree (Randy), five grandchildren, one great- grandchild and many loving nieces and nephews who treated her like their own mother. A viewing will be held Friday, October 13, 2006, from 6-8 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 So.), South Jordan. Funeral Services will be held Monday, October 16, 2006 in Scottsbluff. NE.
