Midvale, UT
Jessie Marie Stone Anderson, 89, left her earthly home in Midvale, Utah to return to her heavenly home on Monday, February 26, 2007 due to causes incident to aging.
Born March 20, 1917 in South Cottonwood, Utah to Royal Bert Stone and Hannah Nordstrom, the third of a family of four daughters. She attended Woodstock Elementary School and Granite High School.
She married Joseph Monroe Anderson on July 6, 1935. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on April 3, 1956.
She worked for 26 years at Valley Drug in Midvale. Her life was built around her home, her yard, and her family. If cleanliness is next to godliness, we know where she is. Her devotion to her husband of 71 years was an inspiration. Her grandchildren will be eternally grateful for the love and care she provided her great-grandchildren when she was needed. She served for many years as Junior Sunday School Coordinator in the Union 2nd Ward. She never met a child she didn’t love and embrace. She belonged to the Lady Union Lions Club for many years. She and Joe joined the Roamin’ Utes Travel Club that provided many fond memories.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Anderson, children, Helen Berrett (Enniss) and Bob Anderson (Connie), 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her father, Bert, and her mother, Hannah, and her three sisters, Nola Evans, Opal Berrett, and Erma Demke.
As a family, we extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff of Canyon Creek Senior Living and Hospice Specialists for their loving and devoted care.
