Johnny Lee Erickson Obituary (1962 - 2012)

“Grandpa”Johnny Lee Erickson was born August 14, 1962 in Orem, Utah to Frank and Ramona Erickson. He died on September 6, 2012 at home surrounded by family.John attended Bingham High School. He met his soul mate Lynn on January 3, 1987, and together they raised three children, lovingly welcoming a fourth into the family after an eighteen year absence. John loved to hunt, fish and ride his four wheeler. He worked for Superior Roofing and Sheet Metal for thirty years. He was active in The United Roofers, Waterproofers and Allied Workers Union, Local #91 where he served as President.John is survived by his wife Lynn; two sons, Christopher (Amber) and Jeremy (Felicia); and two daughters, Angela and Felicia (Paul); and three granddaughters, Annabell, Hayleigh and Hannah, with a fourth on the way; four brothers, Frank (James), Danny (Pam), Clay (Jody) and Joe; with nieces and nephews too numerous to mention. John was preceded in death by his parents.The family would like to thank the boys at Superior for their love and generosity, brothers, not by birth, but brothers just the same. The children would like to thank the Management and Staff of U.T.A. for the kindness and understanding they showed to their mother.The family would like to thank Intermountain Home Health and Hospice, Intermountain Healthcare Hospital 9th floor staff, the Utah Cancer Specialists, and all the other medical professionals who so diligently cared for John. We face all tomorrows with our lives forever changed our hearts forever broken.Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 11, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary South Valley, 1007 South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, Utah. Viewings will be held Monday, September 10, 2012, from 6-8:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 8:00 p.m., at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary South Valley, and a viewing Tuesday, September 11, 2012, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment at South Jordan City Cemetery.
