June R. Smith Obituary (1933 - 2007)

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away peacefully at home on August 30, 2007, surrounded by her family. She was born June 28, 1933 in Sandyville, West Virginia to John Matthew and Goldie Cayton Riggs. She married Glenn E. Smith on May 4, 1956 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was an active member of the LDS church and held various callings. She gave countless acts of service to her many friends and neighbors. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and her family was her top priority. Her parents, sister, and two grandsons preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving husband, Glenn and their five children; Doug (Polly) Smith, Debbie (Matt) Joseph, Cindy (Dale) Peck, Brenda (Darrin) Bartunek, Tina (John) Droge, 18 beautiful grandchildren, and three loving sisters: Lilith (Gerald) Cunningham, Connie (Bill) Donaldson, and Linda (Jim) Sheets. A viewing will be held Monday, September 3 from 6 – 8 PM at the Jenkins Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S State St. To honor her wishes, funeral services will not be held. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
