Karla Marie Miller Hamner Obituary (1958 - 2015)

Karla was a woman of unparalleled strength and generosity. Her entire life was dedicated to the growth and happiness of other people. She searched and took a job that would allow her to home school her children, and give the opportunity to allow her children to travel and pursue their dreams. Even in the hardest of times, she was the first to open her home, her fridge, or her wallet for the people in her life that needed it. Karla was passionate about living big. Traveling all over the continental US and out of the country numerous times including Spain, Amsterdam, Milan, India, Brazil, Philippines, Mexico, Paris, Rome and her all-time favorite, Hawaii. On top of traveling, she absolutely loved karaoke! She won countless competitions, wowing judges with her powerful soulful voice. Every part of who she was came from her close, personal relationship with her papa, God. She lived big, and loved bigger. This beloved daughter of Damon and Marty, sister of Pam and Ronald, Mom of April and JD, wife of Boyd, and dear friend will be greatly missed. However, we know she's in heaven watching over all of us now, and it is a matter of time until we get to see her beautiful face again.
