Kathryn Nelson Kastelic Obituary (1960 - 2006)

She was born October 31, 1960, the daughter of Robert and Joyce Nelson (Nielson), the fifth child in a family of eight. She married Paul Kastelic and together they had a beautiful daughter named Sarah. Paul passed away early in their marriage and his parents, Bill and Jean Kastelic, stepped in and gave Kathy and Sarah their unwavering love and strength throughout the years. Kathy found a dear friend in Jean and referred to Bill as her “football buddy”. Kathy enjoyed teaching little ones and worked in child care for several years. She found quiet pleasure in gardening and writing poetry. Kathy was preceded in death by her father Robert and her sister Deborah. She is survived by her daughter Sarah Kastelic, mother Joyce Nielson, sisters Peggy (Robert) Simmons, Ginny (Paul) Record, brothers Willford (Julie) Nelson, Robert (Paola) Nelson, Tom (Liz) Nelson, Jerry (Denise) Nelson, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday June 15, 2006 at 1:00 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley Chapel, 1007 W. South Jordan Pkwy (10600 S) with a viewing from 12:00 to 12:45. Interment Murray City Cemetery.
