Kelly Len Page Obituary (1958 - 2021)

He was born April 30, 1958 to Lennis Gale Page and Rosemarie Page in Salt Lake City, Utah. He grew up in Salt Lake and graduated from Granite High School. He married Mary Jo Buckner on June 11, 1977 and they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 11, 1981. They spent forty four years together. Kelly and Mary Jo have two children (Angela and Eric) and six grandchildren. Kelly was a hard-working and dedicated provider. He was also man of many talents. In high school he won a state wide brick laying contest. He continued to work in masonry after graduating high school, and also had a ten year career as a police officer. Later he was co-owner of two home construction businesses. He returned to masonry and as a foreman, he won two awards for masonry design and best in show. Kelly loved to travel. Kelly and Mary Jo created countless memories on their seven Caribbean cruises, and they also visited Hawaii and Bora Bora, which was his favorite. He had fond memories of camping with his children and grandchildren at Yellowstone Creek. There he enjoyed fishing, target shooting, and being able to relax in nature. Every year Kelly planted a beautiful vegetable garden and would spend hours canning salsa, peaches, salsa, chili sauce, salsa, applesauce, and more salsa. He didn’t like peas or cantaloupe, but he grew them for the rest of his family anyway. Kelly had a true knack for building or fixing anything; anything and everything. He was notorious for having the right tool and the “know how” for any job. He was the person we all called for questions on the house, the cars, the yard, and everything in between. He built four of their five homes, doing nearly all of the work himself. Throughout his life, he taught himself any skill he needed. He also said anything could be fixed with duct tape, bailing wire, and vice grips. Kelly will be deeply missed. He adored his grandchildren and was very proud to be their Papa. He worked tirelessly to help our mom enjoy life to the fullest. He made family a priority always. He is survived by his wife Mary Jo, his children Angela (Josh) Waite and Eric (Karesa) Page, and their grandchildren Braxton, Preston, Raiden, Camden, Addison, and Kannon. Viewings will be held Wednesday July 14, from 6-8pm, and Thursday 10-10:45am at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley at 1007 W. South Jordan Pkwy (10600 S). Funeral service at 11 am. Interment will take place at South Jordan City Cemetery immediately following the service.
