Kieth Ashton Eldredge Obituary (1932 - 2014)

Kieth Ashton Eldredge, the first child of Melvin A. and Eva L. Bowles Eldredge was born December 13, 1932 in Ririe, Idaho, and passed away June 5, 2014 in Livingston, Texas. He was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah and attended Lincoln Elementary School, Granite Junior High School and graduated from Granite High School. He attended Utah State Agricultural College (now Utah State University) for one year. Kieth served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955. Following his military service, he moved to California and worked for Hughes Aircraft Company. He was married to Margurite Amy Meader (divorced) and subsequently to Rosie Buffington (deceased) and to Bessie Sinyerd. He is survived by: his wife, Bessie, Livingston, TX; his daughter, Kimberly Barnes (David Burda), Nevada City, CA; his son, Kent (Brenda) Eldredge, Norfolk, VA; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his siblings: Laura (Orrice) Lewis, Kamas, UT; Garth (Ann), West Jordan, UT; Lorin (Jackie), South Jordan, UT; Betty J. Fox Lewis (Lance), Seattle, WA; Jerry, Midvale, UT; and Roger, Winston, GA. He was predeceased by his parents and his wife Rosie. Kieth was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 20, 2014 at 12:00 noon at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 S), South Jordan, UT. A viewing will be held Thursday, June 19, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and again Friday morning from 11:00-11:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
