Leah G. Cox Obituary (1918 - 2013)

Leah Gerwien Cox passed away peacefully on October 2, 2013, in Sandy, Utah. She was born June 12, 1918 to Henry Carl & Emma West Gerwien. Married Arthur William Cox on May 29, 1940; they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on August 5, 1980. Leah was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and she attended regularly at the temple. She was a world traveler and loved to travel with her family. She loved her children, grandchildren, and everything that was beautiful. Leah is survived by her children, Gary Lee (Laura Lea) Cox, Nancy Ann (Rodney G.) Littlefield, Arthur (Deborah) Cox; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Grace Dayton. Preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; her son, Charles William; and her sister, Dorothy Hoffman. The family would like to thank the staff at Sunrise Living Center for the care and kindness they gave to Leah. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at the Rose Park 2nd Ward, 800 North 1200 West. A viewing will be Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S.
