Obituary for Louis Felice

Louis Felice
1927 - 2018

Louis Felice died on 10/04/2018, at the age of 90, of old age. Louis was born on 12/14/1927 in Salt Lake City, Utah. His parents were Pietro Felice and Francesca Mastriani; both were Italian immigrants. Louis had 6 sisters and 2 brothers, all of which preceded him in death. He graduated from West High School and then enlisted in the Navy during WWII. He served aboard the Air Craft Carrier USS Lexington. After the war at the age of 19 he married Beverly Louise Svedin. They were married 69 years until her death in 2016. They built their home and raised their 3 sons in East Millcreek. He worked for Utah Power and Light as an Electrical Lineman for many years. He also served as the Business Agent for Local 57 where he negotiated contracts with UP&L. He returned to UP&L and served as District Manager for the south end of the valley where he reported directly to the President. He was a long-time member of the Rotary Club and worked raising funds for their free dental Clinic. He was honored by the Paul Harris Society for his contributions. He and his wife belonged to a supper club for many years and enjoyed the company of their friends. He loved to hunt deer in October with family members and friends. He and his wife also loved to fish and golf. He retired early at the age of 55. They traveled extensively during their retirement years. Their favorite trips were to Italy. They also served two Service Missions for the LDS Church in the Salt Lake Area, and they served together in the Salt Lake Temple for 14 years. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Every year they decorated graves for all their extended family. He had a passion for Christmas lights and decorations. Photos of their home appeared in the newspapers several times as a must see. He had a Santa suit and played Santa whenever asked. He is survived by his 3 sons and their wives: Michael Louis (Connie Peterson), Steven Wesley (Susanne Bird), and Kim Peter (Kathleen Lay), 10 grandchildren: Michelle, MaryAnn, Carly, Matthew, Nikki, Wesley, Paula, Stephanie, Anthony and Sydney and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday October 13, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Jenkins Soffe-Mortuary: 1007 W South Jordan Parkway (106th S). Friends and family may call one hour before.
