Louise M. Dyches Obituary (1913 - 2008)

“Wesie” Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Louise M. Dyches, peacefully returned to Heaven January 23, 2008 of natural causes. Born in Garland, Utah, September 18, 1913 to Nymphus C. and Clara S. Hunsaker Murdock. Married Charles Valden Dyches July 10, 1928. Louise was a postmaster at Clear Creek Post Office for 26 years and was employed at the Salt Lake Main Post Office for 5 years. She enjoyed being the Girls 4-H leader in Clear Creek, Utah and was also part owner and operator of Clear Creek Snack Shack. She belonged to the Clear Creek Bridge Club for many years. She was an avid outdoor person who liked to hike and hunt the mountains of Clear Creek. Louise loved life and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all. Preceded in death by her husband, Val; sons, Bobby and Leon; parents; step-father, David L. Harris; sister, Ivy Trease; and brothers, N.C. Murdock and David T. Harris. Survived by her son, Thomas M. Dyches; daughter-in-law, Jeanne; 4 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, where friends and family may call from 6-8 p.m. on Monday evening and Tuesday one hour prior to services. Interment: Wales City Cemetery.
