Lowell V. Summerhays Obituary (1938 - 2012)

Lowell V. Summerhays, our father, our teacher, our friend. Lowell died on February 14, 2012 in his sleep. He was born in Salt Lake City, UT on February 16, 1938 to Hyrum and Marianne Summerhays. He lived his whole life in Salt Lake City.Lowell attended East High School and later the University of Utah where he received his law degree. He was an attorney, a father, a soccer player, and more. Lowell was a member of the LDS church and also a member of the Uintah Masonic Lodge. He was well respected among his peers for his intelligence and drive.He is survived by his 6 children, 7 grandchildren, and great-granddaughter.Services will be held Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley Mortuary, 1007 W. South Jordan Pkwy. (10600 South), with viewings Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday morning from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment: Crescent Cemetery in Sandy, UT.In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Heart Association.
