“Resa” Lula Theresa “Resa”, 54 of Paterson, NJ departed this life on Sunday, August 24, 2008. She was a former member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Passaic, NJ. She was predeceased by her father, Ellis Nelson Taylor and a sister, Shirley Lou Taylor. Former wife of Bernette Murphy; beloved mother of Deon, and Steven M. Murphy; step mother of Marcus Boddie; loving daughter of Gertrude (Holmes) Taylor; dear sister of Mary Davidson, Eileen Taylor, Lori Taylor-Sessom, Julie Williams, Chimene Taylor and Steve Taylor; foster sister of Mimi Kim; sister-in-law of Wayne Sessom; godmother of Keisha McCrae and Lamont Poindexter; grandmother of ten; devoted family members Elizabeth Bonnie Penns, Saundria “Jeanie” Davis and Corrine Jennings. She also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2008, at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State Street, where family and friends may visit from 12:00-12:45 p.m. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
