Lynn Dell Noren Obituary (1939 - 2016)

Our beloved Father, Husband, Grandfather, Great -Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend passed from this life June 6th, 2016 from injuries sustained in an auto accident. Lynn was born April 25th, 1939 to Gustave E. and Fawn Scott Noren in Elko, Nevada. His childhood was spent in Provo Utah. He was an energetic youth and an enterprising young man. He attended Murray High School and graduated in 1957. He was involved in numerous businesses and the car business in Murray and Salt Lake for many years. In 1966, he married Susan Wilkinson of Murray and together they had one daughter, Bridgette, who was the apple of her dad's eye and whom he spoiled in every way a father could. Although he and Susan later divorced, they continued to be friends and were deeply involved in the lives of their daughter and grandchildren. In 1983 Lynn wed Ireva Petty Ozawa and together they have enjoyed spoiling grandchildren, traveling and cruising to Alaska, the Caribbean and most recently Panama and Colombia. Lynn was a fantastic cook and owned several restaurants over the years. He was a "foodie" and loved a juicy New York Strip from the finer steakhouses in Salt Lake and Las Vegas. For the past 22 years, Lynn put on an incredible breakfast each July for his neighbors. He was an extremely hard worker and never, ever slowed down. Not even a heart attack and bypass surgery in 2012 could slow him down. His generosity will be greatly missed, his merciless teasing, not as much. His impulsive excursions and his abounding love for his family will leave us with an un-fillable heartache and void. Lynn is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Gordon and Richard. He is survived by his wife, Ireva; daughter, Bridgette Stowell (Curt); granddaughters, Makayla, Karly and Sydney Stowell; grandson, Devon Stowell; stepson, Keith Ozawa, (Janelle Oliver); grandchildren, Jade Ozawa Kirk (Cody), Lauren Ozawa, Chloe Ozawa (Frank), Phoebe Ozawa, Naomi Ozawa; and great-grandson, Atticus Kirk. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 11th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Valley View 8th Ward House, 4395 South Albright Drive (2145 E.) Holladay, UT. Family and friends may call Friday June 10th from 6-8 P.M. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary , 4760 South State Street, Murray or Saturday prior to the Services at the church from 10:00 am – 10:45 am.
