Margaret (Maggie) Kay Ainsworth Obituary (1935 - 2021)

Click Here To View Funeral Webcast Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend has returned to our Heavenly Father on January 23, 2021 after a valiant long fought battle with cancer. Born on October 29, 1935 in Los Angeles to Stanley and Ida Farnsworth. Maggie was five years old when her family moved to Idaho. The family later made the move to Utah when she was ten years old. After graduating from Granite High School, Maggie married her sweetheart, Ottie, in the Salt Lake Temple on November 17, 1953. Together they had five children, many adventures, and shared a love unlike any other. Maggie and Ottie were the couple which was meant to be together and served as an example of love to all. Maggie received her degree and license as a Registered Nurse; as a natural caregiver, she loved her career and continued working for more than fifty years into her late seventies. She also loved all critters and animals, with a special love for cats. She loved flowers, music, and was immensely talented at bringing friends and family together for large meals, which never disappointed. Petite in stature, but large in heart, Maggie could gracefully command any room she entered. She was as true a Christian as one can be and functioned as the cornerstone of her family. Maggie loved people and people loved Maggie. Survived by her children: Sons, Mark (Peggy), West Jordan, UT; Kevin (Emma), Tigard, OR; Brian (Darci), Salt Lake City, UT; Tim, South Jordan, UT. Daughter, Susan (Brian) Jeppesen, Houston, TX. 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren. Sister-in-law Patty Farnsworth, Salt Lake City, UT, sister-in-law, Bibbit Pierce, Shreveport, LA. Preceded in death by her husband Ottie; Parents, Stan and Ida Farnsworth; Brothers, James Farnsworth, Ferris Brent Farnsworth; and two great-grandbabies, Maggie and Max Ainsworth. Viewing to be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 S.)
