Marianne Ruth Neumann Obituary (1923 - 2007)

“Together Again” Marianne Neumann passed away on April 20, 2007 after a brief illness to join her beloved husband, Alfred. Marianne was born in Zwickau, Germany on May 22, 1923 to Elisabeth Schmutzler and Max Ewald Beckert. She married Alfred Neumann on May 22, 1943. Marianne is survived by her sister, Inge (Walter) Fassmann; four sons, Rainer (Barbara), Holger, Frank (Tammy), Klaus (Shauna), 9 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred; parents; daughter, Sylvia Neumann; infant son, Helmer; and two sisters, Johanna and Lotte. Marianne left us with, “I have lived a full life with happiness and love and with sorrows, problems and lots of love and help from my children. I am happy now to go to my beloved ‘Fred’. Please don’t cry or be sad for me because I have waited for this day. Thank you, thank you all, I will always love you all.” We will always love you too, Oma. We will have a memorial for friends and family on the evening of May 22, 2007 from 5pm to 8pm at her home.
