Mary Lou Richards

Mary Lou Richards, 84, of Nevada peacefully reached the end of this journey and returned to join her husband, Ronald D Richards on April 14, 2017. She was born in Salt Lake City, UT to Karl W and Bertha A Esche Axman on July 1, 1933. She loved school and attended West High where she met her "honey." Mary and Ronnie were married Feb. 5, 1952 and raised 3 sons in Kearns, UT and Santa Ana, CA. Also living in South Jordan UT, Henderson and West Wendover, NV where she ran for Mayor. Mary was a very proud and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother and aunt. She had a carefree zest for life that shined through.

Mary valued her friendships, and was always up for an adventure, laughs and Chinese food. She enjoyed cooking and finding convenient ways to improve recipes. Most of all she enjoyed caring for her family and listening to her Bee-Gee's.

Mary is survived by her sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ronnie, granddaughter Jammie, brother Gerhart, sisters Helga and Evelyn.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 1:30 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, Utah. A viewing will be held on Friday from 12:30-1:30 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment at Redwood Memorial Estates.
