Maxine Britton Ledkins Obituary (1935 - 2014)

A golden heart stopped beating when we lost our mother, Maxine. She was born to Melvin and Iva Beckstead and was raised in West Jordan, UT. She married Fredrick G. Britton and became his "baby doll". From that union, came 9 children: Craig (Connie), Mickey (James), Fred (Joelle), Denny, Charlotte (Blake), Danial (Debbie), and Valdean "Jay"; 26 grandchildren; and many cherished great and great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by sons, Melvin and Verl. Maxine lost Fred in 1989 and later married John Ledkins, whom she loved very much. John preceded her in death in 1999. She loved camping with her children and making quilts and crocheted items for her children and grandchildren. Services will be Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 1pm at the Riverview LDS Ward, 4845 S. Woodhaven Dr. (1365 W) Viewings: Friday evening from 6-8pm at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State Street., and Saturday from 12-12:45pm at the church prior to services.
