Click HERE to view Funeral Services for Michel Tripp Michel DeLoach Tripp passed away on July 6th 2021 after a valiant fight with Parkinson’s disease. She was born on September 6th 1950 in Jacksonville, Florida to Acel James and Claire Elizabeth Beasley. Michel grew up and attended school in Jacksonville until her junior year of high school when she moved with her family to Provo, Utah and she graduated from Provo High School in 1968. She then attended Brigham Young University where she met her sweetheart Richard James Tripp and worked full-time to support him to graduation. They were married in the Salt Lake City Temple on June 2nd 1972. Once married and finished with school they moved to Bennion, Utah where they provided a wonderful home for five children. Later in life they split time between South Jordan, Utah and St. George, Utah. Michel was a faithful, strong, life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serving in many positions including Primary, Young Women and Relief Society. She was a talented artist and enjoyed painting, many of her paintings hang in her kids’ and grandkids’ homes. Michel and Richard also owned Cookies By Design franchise, a bouquet cookie company for several years in Provo, Utah. Those who knew and associated with her always appreciated her unselfish, caring, and easy going nature. She was a great listener. Her best times were spent attending family sporting events, dance competitions, baby sitting grandchildren, vacations and Sunday dinners. Her quick wit and unsuspecting humor will be missed. Through it all, Michel devoted her life to her family and it was always her main priority, completely dedicated to her husband, five children and 15 grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Richard Tripp, and her children Jason (Jenn) Tripp, Melanie (Tony) Lovato, Kamie (Clarke) Miyasaki, Adam Tripp and Jennie (Jeff) Hill along with her three sisters Marlyn (David) Madsen, Amelia Duke, and Becky (Brian) Dixon. And last but not least her sweet puppy Peaches. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Richard’s parents, Brother-in-Laws Glen Warner, Tom Smith and Phil Duke. The funeral will be held on Saturday July 10th 2021 at 1:30pm at River Ridge Stake Center 10168 South 1100 West with a viewing proceeding these services at the same location from noon-1:15pm.
