Michele Beers Olson Obituary (1973 - 2010)

The sun set this week on one of the brightest rays of sunshine in many people’s lives. Michele Beers Olson passed away after 37 brilliant years of loving, laughing, and making the world a better place. Michele was born January 28, 1973, to William and Denese Beers in Long Beach, Calif., and from the time she was young, her infectious smile, quick laughter and sense of humor won the hearts of everyone around her. While still young, she moved with her family to Salt Lake City, where she went on to become an accomplished gymnast, was a member of Brighton High School’s drill team, and graduated from the University of Utah. While in college, she married the love of her life, Trenton Olson, and within a few years their son Chandler – who has been the light of her life – was born. Words can’t express the kind of friend, wife, mother, daughter, sister, neighbor, teacher – ANGEL – Michele was. She touched lives everywhere she went, and since she’s lived in California, Salt Lake City, Idaho Falls, Dallas, New Orleans and finally back in Utah – that’s a lot of lives. We will all celebrate the joy she brought, the funny memories we made, the millions of ways she was there for us, and the legacy she leaves. Michele is survived by her husband, Trenton; son, Chandler; dog, Moqui; parents, Bill and Denese; sister Cherie (& Mike) DiReda; sister Kathy (& Doug) Deans; brother Steve (& Heather) Beers; Trenton’s parents Dave and Ruby Olson; adoring in-laws; nephews; nieces; and friends across the country. We’ll miss you terribly, and we’ll love you forever! Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Country Crossing Stake center, 10775 S. 3200 W. A viewing will be held Monday, April 12, 2010 from 6:30-8:30 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 S.) and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers the Michele Beers Olson scholarship fund has been established by SelectHealth in her honor. Details will be available at the viewing.
