Moylee Peterson Obituary (1926 - 2011)

“Skibby”Our wonderful husband, father (pops), grandfather (gramps) and great grandfather passed away at home March 6, 2011. He was born September 10, 1926 to Sidney Niels and Fern Jensen Peterson.Dad was happiest when surrounded by his family and many friends. He loved a good practical joke and loved to tease his grandkids. His kids and grandchildren put a sparkle in his eye up to the end.He was an Army Veteran of World War II. After returning home he married his sweetheart Lila. They were married 63 years. They were blessed with five children. Each one being his favorite. Earl (Shar) Peterson, Moyle (Kathy) Peterson, Carol (LeRoy) Smith, MarJean (Terry) Short, Shauna (Shawn) Shanley.He loved his career in construction and was proud to point out many buildings he helped build.Survived by wife, children, 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, sisters Darlene Bjerregaard and WilaDean (Dee) Olson. Preceded in death by both parents, infant brother Grandon, brother Kendall, sister Idona Jorgenson and twin sister Marella Taylor.Special thanks to the doctors and staff at Riverton I.H.C.Funeral Services will be held Thursday March 10, 2011 at 11:00 am at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley 1007 W. South Jordan Pkwy.(10600 S) with a viewing Wednesday March 9th from 6:00-8:00 pm and Thursday for 1 hour prior to the services. Interment Redmond Cemetery.
