Muriel Dumas Obituary (1935 - 2015)

Our beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, & grandma passed away on March 11, 2015 at home, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Cedar City on Jan 24, 1935 to John Ivans & Lillian Fackrell Pace. She married her soul mate Jay Teb Dumas 60 years ago on Oct 5, 1955. As a faithful member of the LDS church, she touched the lives of many through her church callings & temple work. Family was her life. She loved to crochet & enjoyed our annual camping trips to the lake. Christmas was our most treasured tradition, putting up decorations & savoring her homemade candies. She was an amazing woman who's selflessness & love will always be remembered. She's preceded in death by her sons Steve & Douglas. Survived by her loving husband Jay Dumas, her children George, Brent (Debbie) Dumas, Debby (Neal) Howard, Kristy (Robert) Pahl, Nancy Andersen, & her many grandkids & great-grandkids. A viewing will be held Sunday, March 15, 2015 from 5-7 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 S), South Jordan, UT. The funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, March 16, 2015 at the LDS Chapel, 7699 S. Chad Street (765 E), Midvale, UT. There will be a viewing prior to the funeral at 10 am.
