Muriel Gay Gee Obituary (1935 - 2018)

Muriel “Gay” Parsons Collins Gee, age 83, went to heaven on Sunday, October 14, 2018 in Murray, Utah. Gay was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on January 9, 1935. Her parents were Merle and Lloyd Parsons. Her natural father was William Bronzonie. She graduated from South High School and later married Morris William Collins. They divorced in 1968. On May 28, 1969, she married Victor Candland Gee. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Gay was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She had a deep love for her ward members and was dedicated to her church callings. She was an accomplished Administrative Assistant who could type 120 words per minute. She never missed a performance, sporting event or birthday party of her children and grandchildren and was one of their greatest cheerleaders. She was a homemaker, seamstress and loved going to the temple. She enjoyed eating at buffets and going to movies and plays. Gay is survived by her brother, Ron Parsons (Mardean); her six children, Victoria Gee, Colleen Oscarson, Annette Emmer (Keith), Charla Barton (Ray), Cathy Palacios (Jorge), and Russ Gee (Deanna); 26 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Gay was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Victor Candland Gee; her parents; her sister, Pat Dillard; and her granddaughter, Courtney Barton. A viewing will be held for friends and family on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 6:00- 8:00 PM and Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 10:00-10:45 AM at the Liberty Ward, 67 West Clay Park Drive, Murray, Utah. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Liberty Ward. Interment will be at the Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah.
