Noma (Gail) Clark Thomas Obituary (1924 - 2006)

“Grow Old Along With Me” Noma Gail Clark Thomas, a woman loved by all who knew her, passed away June 4, 2006. Gail was born October 2, 1924 in Provo, Utah to Oliver Clyde and Glenna Christine Erickson Clark. She eloped with her sweetheart, Boyd Dewey Thomas, August 23, 1944; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He passed away April 21, 1997. Gail and Boyd were co-owners of Bert’s Market on “I” Street in the Avenues of Salt Lake City. They were meant to be together forever. Gail graduated from East High School and attended the U of U & BYU. She was an active member of the LDS Church. She enjoyed volunteering in St. Mark’s Hospital Gift Shop. Survived by her children, Sandra Lee (Scott) Eckhardt, David Boyd (Bonnie), Connie Gail (Terry) Lewis; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 8, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Copper City 1st Ward, 6175 West Borax Avenue (5820 South). A viewing will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, and Thursday one hour prior to services at the church. Interment Provo City Cemetery, 610 So. State Street, Provo, Utah.
