Click HERE to view Graveside Services for Jenne Winzeler Jenne passed away peacefully in the home where she lived with her daughter, Jane Ann Smith, in Murray, Utah on February 6, 2021. They were “Buddies” over the past decade since the passing of her husband of 67 years, Robert (Bob) Winzeler in 2011. She was born July 25th 1923 in Woods Cross, Utah to Lucille Lee and Clarence Glenn Eldredge. She was raised in humble farming surroundings west of Tremonton, Utah, the fourth of eight children. She loved music and singing with her beautiful voice her whole life. In a program in Elementary School she sang “My Best Beau” and when her teacher asked who she was singing to, she replied “Bobby Winzeler.” A Romantic at an early age! They enjoyed one another’s company through High School, but soon after High School Bob was drafted into the Army Air Core. During almost 2 years of training, their love grew and he proposed by mailing her an engagement ring. She took a Greyhound Bus to Stillwater, Oklahoma where they were married October 9, 1943. While Bob served in the Pacific at the end of World War II, Jenne was with family in Utah and gave birth to their first child Larry, who was then followed by Jane, Bobbi and Scott. They raised their Family in Tremonton until 1955 when they moved to the Los Angeles area. As the family grew during this era, they ended up living in Canoga Park in the San Fernando Valley and then after the kids moved on, in Thousand Oaks, California where they lived until finally returning to Utah, in 2008. Throughout her life Jenne has been outgoing and vivacious, interested in people and what they were doing. With her infectious smile and that twinkle in her eye, she was the kind of person people enjoyed being around because you knew she was truly interested in you. She enjoyed learning of other countries and cultures in preparation for Church classes she taught. She and Bob golfed for a large part of their lives together. With most of the kids gone, a friend talked her into taking an Oil Painting class. This was the beginning of a lifetime hobby which she loved and became very good at. All of her children and many grandchildren have some of her paintings as keepsakes. She was always willing to try something new, she Para-sailed in her 50’s, went Zip-lining in the Costa Rica Jungle at 90 along with many other adventures. During the Thousand Oaks Empty Nester Years, they enjoyed traveling, a long term monthly Bridge card playing group, and Church and Community Service. On holidays when on their own, they enjoyed driving to the beach in Malibu to feed the seagulls and share memories of holidays past. They were best friends and enjoyed being together. In 1983, Jenne about fell off her chair when Bob asked her if she thought he ought to have the Missionary Lessons before he got baptized! This resulted largely from years of friendshipping by a good friend of Bob’s. They were later sealed in the Los Angeles Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1985. In time that led them to serving in that Temple as volunteers for a number of years in the 90’s. Music and singing were a major love of her life and she participated in Choirs and Singing Groups whenever there was an opportunity. A highlight came on her 90th Birthday in 2013 when she had an opportunity to sing with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Larry was able to get her an invitation to practice with them one Thursday evening in the Salt Lake Conference Center. She fit in like a veteran Choir member! And now she truly is Singing like an Angel - with the Angels of Heaven! Bless you for the Wonderful Person you have always been Mom ……………………………………….. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, brothers and sisters, Bob Eldredge, Effie Adams Wilson, Louisa (Lou) Petersen, Ben Eldredge, Lee Eldredge, Mary Sharp Mallory. Two great grandchildren, Zach and Zoe Smith. Survived by brother Dick Eldredge (Cleo), children Larry Winzeler (Cheri), Jane Smith, Roberta (Bobbi) Winzeler, Scott Winzeler. 14 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren She will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Honeyville City Cemetery, Honeyville Utah .
