Oneal S. Wilcox Obituary (1958 - 2008)

Oneal S. Wilcox, our beloved Husband, Father, Son, Papa and Brother, returned to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, June 18th, 2008. Oneal was born on March 27th, 1958 in Ogden, Utah son of Bob and Betty Wilcox. Oneal grew up in Huntsville, Utah and graduated from Weber High School in 1976. He served an honorable LDS mission for two years in North Carolina. After coming home he met his sweetheart, Sara Froerer, and they were married for eternity in the Salt Lake Temple August 28, 1980. Oneal served in the Air Force Reserve for more than 20 years and retired with high honors. He had tremendous respect and loved his country deeply. He was very respected among those who he served with. Oneal was an amazing husband and father. He loved his family deeply and would do anything for them. He spent his time helping everyone who was in need, and never once thought of himself first. Oneal was very active in the LDS church, he served in many callings and loved every one of them. He loved to be with his family, he spent his life teaching his children how to love one another and how to love life. He was always happy and always making people feel like they were a part of our family no matter who they were. Oneal was the true meaning of The Good Samaritan. He loved to serve and to make people happy. We love him so deeply and will miss our Husband and Father. Oneal is survived by his wife, Sara, his children Stephanie (Will) Tucker, Centerville, UT; Rachel (Aaron) Van Beekum, Harrisville, UT; Spencer; Amanda; Aaron, Ogden, UT. Two grandchildren, Cole and Cayson Van Beekum. He is also survived by his parents, Bob and Betty Wilcox. His brother Roy (Melanie) Wilcox, Rhonda (David) Clarke, Jacklyn (Dennis) Whitten, Ranae Wilcox, and Mark (Denise) Wilcox. A viewing will be held Tuesday June 24, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. At Waterfall Canyon Ward 3254 Polk Ave. Ogden, UT. Funeral Services will be held at the same location on Wednesday June 25, 2008 at 11 a.m. Interment, Washington Heights Memorial Park & Mausoleum, 4500 Washington, Blvd. South Ogden, UT 84403. Full Military Honors will be presented.
