Oradelle Marie Matson Obituary (1925 - 2011)

Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend, Oradelle Marie Matson passed away Thursday February 24, 2011 with her children by her side. Born on October 31, 1925 to Wesley Bornschein and Bessie Steinmetz in Good Pasture Colorado, she was the ninth of twelve children in her family. She married her sweetheart David Louis Matson on March 27, 1947 and was later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Oradelle was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. She faithfully filled many callings in the branches and wards in which she resided. She loved wherever she served and did so with diligence, kindness and a positive spirit. Preceded in death by her mother, father, husband David Louis and nine siblings, she is survived by her son David, daughter Barbara Fowler (Terry), sisters Idabelle McDaniel and Gladys Brown, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday March 2, 11:00 am, at the LDS chapel on 1160 East Vine Street, Murray UT. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6 till 8 pm at Jenkins Soffe Funeral Home, 4760 South State Street, Murray Utah, and one hour prior to services at the chapel. Interment will be in the Tooele City Cemetery, 2:30 pm after services.
