Orley Junior Stapley Obituary (1935 - 2010)

Loving Husband and FatherOrley Junior Stapley passed away June 3, 2010. He was born December 17, 1935 to Orley Adams and Irene Russell Stapley. After he graduated from Granite High School he enlisted in the Marine Corps and fought in Korea for 14 months.He married his sweet partner LaVon Rugg in the Salt Lake Temple.Preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and siblings, Jackie, Thelma, LaReta, Rulon, Kenneth, Merlin, Frances and Robert.Survived by 3 children, David (Kathy), Brian (Shane), and Jeanne Halterman (Troy), three sisters, Orlene, Lola, Barbara and brother, Richard.The family wishes to thank the residents and staff at Art City Rehab.Funeral services will be held Monday, June 7, 2010 at 11:00 am at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 S.) where a viewing will be held on Sunday, June 6, 2010 from 5-7 pm and one hour prior to services on Monday. Interment Redwood Memorial Estates.
