To view a video tribute for Orson George Wright, please click here. Orson George Wright died January 12, 2006. He was born to George and Lottie Berrett Wright in Union, Utah, March 25, 1917. He spent his early years in Bingham Canyon, Utah. Met his sweetheart, Jane Rindlisbach, when they were freshman at Bingham High School. They were married January 26, 1937 in Heber City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They were blessed with and survived by three children. Dale (Ranae), Michael (Nita) and Cheryl (Bob) Irvine. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren, sister, Alice Christianson, Fairview, Utah. Proceeded in death by his parents, a sister Eva Vowles and a brother Bert Wright. He was a steel worker at Mare Island and Eimco Company. He worked for Envirotech (formally Structural Steel and Forge) as a layout man and Foreman of the Mining Division. He was a President of the Steel Workers Credit Union and Vice President of the Steel Workers Union. He and Jane were temple workers in the Las Vegas Temple and the Jordan Valley Temple. He served in various church positions, including Counselor in the Bishopric and Scoutmaster. Heart-felt thanks from the family to the Care-Source Hospice staff, especially Richard, for their help to the family and the loving care provided to our father and husband. Funeral Services will be held at the Winder 4th Ward, 950 East 3825 South on Monday, January 16, 2006 at 12 noon, with a viewing from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. A viewing will also be held at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, Sunday, January 15, 2006 from 5-6 p.m. Interment will be at the South Jordan Cemetery, 1055 West 10650 South.
