Pamela Davis Pickering Obituary (1969 - 2012)

Our beautiful wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grand-daughter passed away July 28, 2012 at age 43 after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. Pam had a way of touching everyone’s life she came in contact with. She was an inspiration and joy to everyone who knew her. Pam was born April 9, 1969 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Dale B. Davis and Joyce Jensen Miya. She married Scott Pickering September 17, 1988 in Sandy, Utah and had two beautiful children, Chad 18 and Ciera 15. Pam loved life and lived it to the fullest. She loved being in the mountains going four-wheeling or sitting around the campfire with family and friends. She enjoyed riding horses and herding cows with her grand-dad and uncle Stuart, which she looked forward to every year. Scott was the love of her life, and they were both deeply devoted to their children. Pam wanted to make sure that everyone knew how much she sincerely appreciated their love and support over the last six years. Friends and family supported Pam in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, numerous fundraisers, provided meals, planted flowers, and took care of house or yard work. Thank you to Dr. Saundra Buys and the Huntsman Cancer Hospital staff. Pam is survived by her husband, Scott; children, Chad and Ciera; parents, Dale Davis and Joyce Miya; sister, Cara (Rob) Wesson; brother-in-law, Jeff Pickering; mothers-in-law Jeanie (Larry) Johnson and Darlene Pickering; grandmother, Velda Jensen, and many cousins, uncles and aunts. She was preceded in death by her brother Drew Dale Davis. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 3rd at 11:00 am at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 South), South Jordan. A visitation will be held August 2nd from 6-8:00 pm and Friday from 10-11:00 am at the same location. Interment in the Riverton City Cemetery.
