Polly Gallegos Obituary (1927 - 2013)

Our dear sister, aunt and friend passed away on July 24, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Born to Antonio and Ana Maria Gallegos on October 7, 1927 in Servilleta, New Mexico. As an infant her family relocated to Bingham, Utah where her dad worked for Kennecott Copper. She went to school in Bingham and graduated from Murray High School. Polly worked many different jobs before deciding to attend Steven's Henager Business College. Upon completion, she was hired by Walker Bank, and worked there for many years. She retired from Wells Fargo Bank. After retirement, she worked for her sister at Allen's Preschool and Day Care as cook for 20 years, and was the Assistant Director. She worked up until the week prior to her death. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Bill, Tony; and sisters, Blanch Romero and Margie Inlay. Polly is survived by brother, Russell; sisters, Bertha Allen and Violet Wilson; and also survived by numerous nieces and nephews whom loved her very much. Viewing will be held on Friday, July 26, 2013, from 6-8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State St., Murray. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 27, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, 1375 East Spring Lane, Salt Lake City, Utah. Interment Murray City Cemetery.
