Broadcast will begin at 10:40 am Click here to watch Live Webcast Rider Mason Sawyer, age 12, was born on May 29, 2009 in West Jordan, Utah to Race and Keshia Sawyer. He was the third child with two older siblings whom he adored, Faith and Ran. He was tragically taken from us on July 25, 2021 in a car accident along with his father, aunt, and two of his cousins. He is survived by his mother Keshia, older sister Faith (16), and older brother Ran (14). Rider was loved by all who knew him and was known for his tender heart and hand written notes of love. He loved to sing and perform and attended the Vista School for the Performing Arts in Ivins, Utah where he took part in many performances including the lead role of Oliver last winter along with other key parts throughout his time there. He also recently tried out and made the dance company as part of the soloist team. Prior to his family moving to St. George, he attended South Jordan Elementary and enjoyed participating in the annual school musical performances. He dreamed of owning his own dance studio and performing on Broadway. He was inquisitive, bright, and loved to learn. He was his mother’s faithful friend and was wise beyond his years in his care and support of her. His kind and tender heart led many to gravitate to him and at family gatherings he was often referred to as the favorite cousin. He loved to paint and draw and frequently put those talents to use in creating art for those he loved. He enjoyed giving and always had other’s needs and wants in mind. He looked forward to spending time at the beach with his family and could frequently be found at home playing with his dog, Lavi. He was taken from this life to serve with his father, Race, on the other side of the veil. His kindness and tender heart will forever inspire us as we reflect on the time we were blessed to spend with him here on earth.
