Roy Arnold Hunt Obituary (1940 - 2008)

“Roysie” Roy Arnold Hunt passed away on January 15, 2008 due to complications from leukemia. He was born in Salt Lake City December 7, 1940 to Amos Arnold and Ruby Lucile Johnson Hunt. He married his sweetheart, Kaye Startin; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Roy was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He also served in the US Army. Roy was the president of Mountain States Concessions. Survived by his children, Shelle (David) Padilla, Sherre (Jim) Johnson, Karie Ann Sorensen, and Kyle Larsen; 7 grandchildren, Jeremy, Nichole, Robert, Colby, Skyler, Danielle, and Madison; 3 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Kaye. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Brighton 5th Ward, 2561 E. Bengal Blvd. (7640 So) Friends and family may call from 6-8 p.m. on Friday evening at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, and from 12:00-12:45 p.m. at the church on Saturday prior to the service. Interment: Mountain View Memorial Estates.
