Sheldon Deloy (Dee) Woodard Obituary (1941 - 2015)

Sheldon Deloy (Dee) Woodard, returned to his father in heaven on November 13, 2015 peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born August 9, 1941 in Provo, Utah. He was a member of the LDS church and worked as a Carpenter and Entrepreneur. Over the years he worked for Alder Construction and other construction companies. He helped build the Amphitheatre at Salt Lake City Community College that was donated by Jack Alder. He lived in Cottonwood Heights for 33 years then moved to Stansbury Park in 2006 to be closer to family. When Dee was younger he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and 4 wheeler's. He also loved spending time at the cabin riding his ATV's with his family in the Uintah's. He loved to travel with his family, enjoyed Mexico, Hawaii, Jamaica, Alaska and accompanied his grandkids to Disneyland several times. His greatest accomplishment was his family. He is survived by his wife Susan Goff Woodard of Stansbury Park, sons, Craig Woodard of Stansbury Park, Jed Woodard of Tooele, Mike (Sheila) Woodard of Stansbury Park. Sister, Rozanne (Reldon) Barnes of Lehi. Twelve grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, Britagne, Nicki, Briana, Camron, Wyatt, Jed Jr, Kayla, Brayden, Gavin, Ethan, Dallin, McKell, Kysen, Rhyden and Brinlee, numerous nieces and nephews. Dee was preceded in death by his mother Blanche Moulton Woodard, father Sheldon Dezzary Woodard, 2 brothers John Woodard and Flaonce Woodard, grandchild Deojnique Monet Woodard. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 17 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary located at 1007 West South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, Utah. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 18 at 11:00 am, with a viewing prior to funeral services from 10:00 to 11:00 am also at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary. After services internment will take place at Redwood Memorial Park on 6500 South Redwood Road in Salt Lake City, Utah.
