Shelley Adele Brown Miller Obituary (1957 - 2011)

Our beloved, wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend passed away peacefully in her home on December 19, 2011 after a ten year battle with breast cancer. Shelley was born in Bellflower, CA December 10, 1957 to Myron and Evelyn Brown. Shelley grew up in Southern California where one of her fondest memories was being a member of the Grand Land Singers, where she later met her sweetheart, Matthew Miller. They were married in the Los Angeles Temple March 6, 1982 where they were sealed for time and all eternity. She is survived by her husband Matt, two children, Heather and Scott, daughter in law Jill, father, three brothers and one sister plus many nieces and nephews. The family later moved to South Jordan where they have lived for the past sixteen years. Shelley will fondly be remembered for her unselfish service to others, her fun sense of humor and Christ-like love as she made everyone feel as though they were her best friend. Shelley served faithfully in many church callings where her influence brought countless others unto Christ. Shelley’s “lunch group” and dozens of other friends were a great source of strength and happiness. The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the staff at the Huntsman Cancer Institute. And a special thanks to Dr. Sandra Buys, Lisa, and Chanteel. Funeral services will be held at the South Jordan Third Ward (9750 S. 2200 W.) on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 11:00 am. The family will hold a visitation at the building at 9:00 am.
