Shelly Ann Tripp Obituary (1956 - 2020)

On Tuesday, February 18, 2020, Shelly Ann Tripp, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep at her home in West Valley City, Utah at the young age of 63. Shelly was born October 13, 1956 in Murray, Utah to Harvey Ray Bills and Carol Mae Murphey. Shelly grew up in Murray, Utah and graduated from Murray High School in 1975. She married Lowell Bryce Tripp in August 1976 and they had 3 children: Brandy, Christopher and Troy. They later divorced. Shelly has worked for the University of Utah Greenwood Center in Midvale, Utah for the past 32 years and has enjoyed working as a medical assistant with her specialty in pediatric patients. She also enjoyed doing home-improvement projects around her home and has recently returned from her dream vacation on an Alaskan Cruise. She enjoyed spending time with great neighbors and co-workers. Shelly is survived by her 3 children, Brandy (Rick) Guttery, Christopher (Viviane) Tripp, and Troy (Malina) Tripp; 7 grandchildren; her father, Harvey Ray Bills; sister, Charlene (Scott) Gapinski; brothers, Terry (Cindy) Bills and Michael (Birgitt) Murphey; and many nieces and nephews. Shelly was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Mae Murphey; her step-mother, Joan Timothy Bills; and sister, Susan Bills. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24, 2020 at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home located at 4760 South State Street, Murray, Utah 84107, at 11:00 a.m. Viewings will be at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home on Sunday February 23, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be at the Murray City Cemetery.
