Sherman D. Freeze Obituary (1918 - 2008)

Sherman D. Freeze, our loving and generous father and grandfather passed away on October 11, 2008. Sherman was born on July 26, 1918 in Murray, Utah and grew up there and spent his time as a child helping his father and brother on their farm. He attended Westminster College before marrying Florence Gile on June 12, 1941. Sherman was also in the Army during World War II and then came back home to open his electrical business for 50+ years. He had many good friends through the years and he and Florence enjoyed their retirement at Strawberry and Soldier Creek where they built a beautiful cabin. Sherman is survived by his wife Florence Freeze, son Sherman G. Freeze, and daughter Joanne Jensen; plus grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. A graveside will be on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at 2:30 at Murray City Cemetery, with a viewing from 1:30-2:15 at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State. Special thanks to Joanne for her loving care of Grandma and Grandpa for the last five years.
