Sherman Neil Anderson Obituary (1924 - 2015)

Beloved Husband/ Father Sherman Neil Anderson, of Murray, Utah was 91 when he passed away on Friday, November 27, 2015. Sherm was born May 10, 1924 in Bluebell, Utah where his parents had a productive farm. Sherm married Donna Kimball and had two lovely daughters, Beverly and LaRane. In 1983, Sherm married Janice Thornley and they were a happy couple for 32 years. Sherm was a World War II Veteran, serving in the Navy, in the Pacific theatre. Sherm was known to love telling jokes and stories from his colorful past as Sheriff in Roosevelt, UT, his time in World War II, his adventures flying his airplane. He also enjoyed working on cars. He loved to help friends, family and neighbors. Sherman is survived by his wife, Janice Anderson; his two daughters and son-in-law, Beverly Green, LaRane and Steve Iverson; 5 step-children, Wanda Cottam, Carolyn Keigley, Karen Smith, Jeff Morrison and Lori Buhler; grandchildren, Travis and Shane Iverson; along with many step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren; and two brothers, Ivan and Max Anderson. Sherman was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters. Sherm's family would like to thank Jessica and Nate for all their help during the summers that Sherm could not do the yard work. Funeral services will be held, Thursday, December 3, 2015, at 12:00 pm, at the LDS chapel, 160 E. 4600 S., Murray, Utah. Viewings will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State St., from 6-8 p.m. and from 11:00-11:45 am at the church prior to services.
