Sherry Irene Williams Pittman Obituary (1937 - 2016)

"Mom" 9/2/1937 ~ 8/8/2016 Sherry Irene Williams Pittman passed away peacefully in her sleep August 8, 2016. Although she was born in Las Vegas, Nevada to Everett Williams and Ivie Leavitt Williams on September 2, 1937, she was raised in Southern California. Sherry was very active in all sports and church activities. She married Jack L. Deal soon after high school and had two children, Lisa and Richard. She moved to Northern California with her parents and children and went to work for the Federal Aviation Administration on a temporary job assignment from which she retired after 35 years of service. Sherry was always everyone's friend and confidant. She never met anyone she did not like, or that didn't love her. She is survived by daughter, Lisa Marie Meyer; grandchildren, Richard Henry Meyer, Brittany Suzanne Meyer, and William Everett Meyer. She was preceded in death by her parents, and son, Richard Everett Deal. A graveside service will be held Friday, August 12, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Sandy City Cemetery, 9000 South 700 East, Sandy, Utah, with a viewing at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
