To view a video tribute for Sherry Lindsey Smart, please click here. Sherry Lindsey Smart, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, age 72 passed away at home on March 6, 2006. She was born on October 9, 1933 in Pocatello, Idaho to Gerald (Jed) and Lenore Lindsey. She was the first born of three children. Sherry graduated from East High. She married Martin Lynn Smart on June 23, 1952 and had four children. While married she had the opportunity to live in Germany and Issaquah, Washington. After moving back to Utah and divorcing, she worked for the Utah State Tax Commission, property tax, retiring after 22 years of service. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Her family will carry many memories. She is survived by her three children Kris Hathaway, Debbie (Randy) Humphrey (WA), Martin Lindsey (Christina) Smart (CO), 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and one sister, Linda (Gary) Christenson. She is preceded in death by a daughter Shaylee, her parents, one brother Ken and two nephews Karry and Mark. A viewing will be held Sunday, March 12th from 5-7 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St. The funeral will be held at the Mortuary on Monday, March 13th at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing one hour prior to the services. Interment at Murray Cemetery.
