Shirley Jean Taylor Maack Obituary (1930 - 2009)

Shirley Jean Taylor Maack, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2009 of natural causes. She was born May 2, 1930 in Salt Lake City. The daughter of James Milo and Edith Regina Garfield Taylor. Shirley married Robert Arthur Maack on March 27, 1951 in Murray, Utah. He died May 18, 2002. Her greatest accomplishment was that of devoted military spouse whose #1 priority was her family. We express our sincere gratitude to the medical staff and caregivers at the Sunrise Assisted Living and the Sunbrook Hospice for their tender loving care. Shirley is survived by her sons, Steven A. (Odett) Maack & James T. (Elizabeth) Maack, 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, brother – James Val Taylor. Preceded in death by her husband, brother - Clifford B. Taylor & parents. Graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at 11:00 am, Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 So. Camp Williams Dr., Bluffdale. Family and friends may call Tuesday 6 – 8 pm and Wednesday from 10 – 10:30 am at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Pkwy (10600 So.).
