Click HERE to view Funeral Services for Tamra Olsen-Ivie Tamra Lee Olsen-Ivie, born January 1, 1963 in Salt Lake City, UT, was quietly called back to her Heavenly Father on the morning of October 1, 2020 in her Murray, UT home. Our sweet Mother bravely battled a number of illnesses over the last many years. Having recently suffered a third heart attack, Tamra was in the recovery process when her body simply could not withstand anymore. Our loving Mother fought so hard for so long and we can proudly say she is finally at peace, in Heaven. Tamra was a loving caregiver to all those around her. She served her community as a Registered Nurse, graduating with honors from the SLCC Nursing Program. She was the Director of Nursing for many years at both Brightstar Healthcare and the Odyssey House. She would later move on to work at WorkCare before falling too ill to perform her duties as a nurse any longer. Earlier in her career, she had served as an enlisted Airman in The Utah Air National Guard and worked full time while serving in uniform, later leaving the military to tend to her children. Our beautiful mother loved her time as a Nurse and touched many lives. She was great at it! She was proud of her time on the farm as a child and as a member of our Armed Forces. Tamra was an avid learner, crafter, and decorator. She was constantly creating beauty in her home and wherever she went. She was a proud and happy member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her relationship and Testimony with her Father in Heaven was incredibly strong and something she cherished dearly. Tamra’s spirit will forever live on inside all of those who had the privilege of knowing her and all of those who she took great care of. Tamra is survived by her parents, Doug and Judy Ivie; Karen Harmon; her unofficially adopted Mom, Jean Olson; her three loving children: Samantha (Even), Natasha, and David (Jessi); four beautiful grandchildren; and many loving brothers, sisters, cousins and friends. She was preceded by her grandmother, Rhea James Ivie, with whom she was very close, as well as her uncle, Frank H. Ivie, and her brother, Christopher Ivie. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 9th at 11:00 a.m. at the Murray 23rd Ward, 755 E. Three Fountains Circle, Murray, UT 84107. Viewings will be on Thursday, October 8th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home, 4760 South State Street, and on Friday at the church prior to the services from 9:30-10:30 a.m. To ensure compliance we kindly ask that all attending comply with the current social distancing and mask-wearing guidelines.
