Tee Sheffield Obituary (1929 - 2020)

Our Sweet loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, Lathair B. “Tee” Sheffield passed away peacefully on August 13th, 2020 as a result of a stroke while doing what he loved, golfing with friends. Born July 4th, 1929 in Logan, Utah to Irvine and Delone Sheffield. Tee grew up in Logan and moved to Salt Lake where he graduated from South High School. He married Juanita Hoerold on May 12th 1950 in the Salt Lake Temple. They raised seven children together and were famous for having two sets of identical twins. He was dedicated and loving to his wife as well as his family and friends. His family was the most important thing in his life. He placed his family above all else and his greatest joys were his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was a hard worker. He worked in his dad’s grocery store for years, was a Fuller Brush man and went on to his favorite job with Miller Honey. While he was in high school he would compete in bowling tournaments and bring home turkeys each year for Thanksgiving. This is also where he met his sweetheart and eternal companion Juanita. Tee loved sports. His favorite teams included the Utah Jazz, BYU and U of U football and basketball. He also loved to watch baseball on TV. He played and coached ward softball for many years. He was a very good bowler and won many trophies. He loved golfing, and also received a hole in one trophy. He loved camping, fishing, playing cards and vacations with his wife Juanita and sister Annie and brother in law Clyde. Tee enjoyed wixing his mords, along with riddles and jokes especially those that involved math. He taught all his grandkids how to say the alphabet backwards. Preceded in death by his wife Juanita and daughter Janine. Tee is survived by son-in law Rick Warner, son Larry (Emily), daughters DeeAnn (Randy) Garcia, Sherry (Steve) Vincent, Shelly (Brad) Bourne, sons David (Linette), Douglas (Liz), 31 grandchildren and 87 great-grandchildren. Friends and family are invited to a graveside service to be held August 21st, 10AM at Elysian Burial Gardens Cemetery, 1075 East 4580 South, Millcreek.
