(Thelma) Elayne Smith Walton Obituary (1923 - 2007)

Together Again (Thelma) Elayne Smith Walton, age 84, passed away Oct. 16, 2007 in Murray, Utah. Born July 23, 1923 in Salt Lake City to Robert Smith and Elsie Ferry Eastwood. Married Wayne Walton Jan. 7, 1940 in Kaysville. She spent her life being a mom, grandma, great and great-great grandma. Elayne spent a short time working for a catering service. Her joys in life were creating handcrafted gifts for her family and friends, and spending time with her family and cats. Elayne loved traveling, camping, fishing, and hunting with her sweetheart, Wayne, and hanging out with her buddy Bob. Survived by: children, Wayne Richard, Woods Cross; Dianne "Dina" (Robert) Murphy, Sunnyvale, CA; Sharyl Cushing, Salt Lake City; Warren (Alenda), Taylorsville; Lon, West Valley City; 20 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren and two more on the way; sisters, Beverly Nussbaum; Elaine Christensen; brother, Norman Eastwood. Preceded in death by the love of her life, Wayne; parents; son, Craig; sister, Vaughn Zumwalt. Graveside services will be held Monday, Oct. 22, 2007, 1 p.m., at Elysian Burial Gardens (1075 East 4580 So.) There will be a visitation at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary (4760 So. State, Murray) From 12-12:30 p.m. before services.
