Van Kimo Kotter Obituary (1950 - 2007)

Van Kimo Kotter died at his home January 31, 2007. He was born April 18, 1950 in Emmett, Idaho to Joyce & Cleon Kotter. He married the woman of his dreams and best friend, Alice Zollinger on December 12, 1974 in the Logan LDS temple. Van grew up in Logan, Utah, graduating from Logan High School where he received a distinguished Bauch & Lomb Science Award and received a scholarship to Utah State Univ. where he graduated with B.S.F. in Business. He served an LDS mission to the Northern California. He loved his opportunities to serve with youth groups and scouts and had many church leadership opportunities. He will be dearly missed and loved by all who knew him. Survived by his wife; Alice Kotter and four children; Chris (Sarah), Kate (Justin) Hardman, Karen (Matthew) Layton and Quinn, eight grandchildren, five brothers; Rod, Rich, Quade, Dirk, Bart and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by an infant son; Curt. Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 5, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Country Park 5th Ward Chapel, 1988 W. 11400 So. Friends & Family may call Sunday from 5-7 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. So. Jordan Parkway (10600 So) and 1 hr. prior to services at the church. Interment Providence City Cemetery.
