Vaudis Beals Shaw Obituary (1929 - 2019)

Vaudis Beals Shaw was born March 24, 1929 in Murray, Utah to Arnold and Erma Beals. She was raised in Murray and graduated from Murray High School in 1947. In her teen years, she worked as a carhop at Windmill Inn, where she met her sweetheart. They fell in love and married on June 10, 1947. They made their home in West Jordan where they raised their three children. She was a contributor in a local newspaper called the Midvale Sentinel; later she became a florist and worked for many years at Gene’s Floral in Midvale. Mom enjoyed dancing with Dad, bowling, traveling and playing pinochle with family and friends. She was an excellent seamstress. Mom served many years in the American Legion Auxiliary. Survived by children: Randy (Renae) Shaw, David, Jolene (Elliot) Moses; grandchildren: Ryan Shaw, Jeremy Shaw, Brittany Carroll, Tiffany Wagner, Andrew Shaw, Heather, Brumley, Josh Goodman, Melanie Booth, Tia Moses, and Morgan Moses; great-grandchildren: Natasha, Tyler, Mariah, Breahna, Tanner, Tyler, Jake, Corbin, Caden, Dakota, Maxwell Mae, Arlo, Brayden, Allie, Jordan, Emma, Kailey, Kyle, and Sean; and great-great-grandchildren: Krew and Milo. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Murray, Utah, with viewings Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Interment will follow at the West Jordan City Cemetery.
